Workers who are out of work struggle to find the right next job. They try looking for a job that matches their last job. They look for jobs that are junior to the position they last held. They even look for work in a totally different field than the one in which they last worked. Another option – and one that is of course a bit risky and quite scary – is to start your own business.
At our next SWIT meeting, on May 17, 2012, we will explore that option. Facilitating the discussion will be Len Pasculli. Len is the current President of the Sussex Warren Human Resource Management Association. Len holds both a law degree (from Fordham Law School) and an MBA (from Rutgers University). He brings years of experience and perspective – including both entrepreneurial and intra-preneurial – along with some legal and practical advice on what is needed to start your own business.
Len will present an overview of the things to consider before starting a new business, including the financial and emotional investment, the form of the business entity, and the elements of a good business plan. All are invited.
Len is currently a partner at the Law Firm of Hollander Strelzik Pasculli et al in Newton, New Jersey. Prior to that, Len was in-house counsel at two Fortune 500 manufacturing companies, a closely-held corporation, and an associate at a small law firm. He specializes in real estate and business law, as well as the growing field of elder law.
Contact:
Leonard P. Pasculli, JD, MBA
Telephone: 973-383-3233
